The First Vampire Cat
Chapter 9
It was Wesley! Vex grabbed my hand.
"Run Aya!" he screamed.
"What about Max?!"
"He's a demon, he can fend for himself!" He began pulling me as I heard Max scream.
"Get the hell off of me!!!" he growled and punched Wesley in the stomach hard.
I looked back and saw Wesley go flying into a tree. Max was sitting up, holding his bloody shoulder. Wesley turned back into his human form. He was panting and winced when he stood up. That blow must've been hard.
"What happened to you?! You're not the evil bloodsucker I remember." He panted.
"What the ******** are you talking about Wesley?!"
"The Maximillion I knew was a weak vampire! What the hell happened to you?! The old Maximllion could never have thrown me off that fast and easily. What are you?"
Max stood up.
"I'm a demon now." He said. For once, i saw a flicker of fear in Wesley's eyes.
"Aya, Vex, get out of here. I don't want you seeing this." Max said.
"But Max!--" I began but his eyes glared at me.
They were blackish with red pupils. His teeth were all sharp and he had an evil look in his eyes.
"That's an order. GO!!" He growled. My heart pounded. I was terrified of him.
"Let's go Aya! He's a demon now! Demon's live to kill!"
He pulled me as gave in and ran with him.
I didn't look back once, but what I heard made me shiver in fear.
Bloody screams and sounds of cries. It sounded horrible.
Vex ran faster, because I'm half-cat, I could keep up with him easily.
"Will we ever see Max again?" I asked. Vex looked back at me.
"I don't know, just keep running!"
And with one final ear-piercing scream, all went silent.
Vex stopped running and looked back. We ran about three miles already.
We were gasping for air.
"Do you think Max is alright?" I asked.
Vex looked at me, then into the distance.
"Why do you like Max so much anyway? He's nothing special."
"He saved the lives of your mother, father and us! What are you talking about?"
"Well, if he's so special why don't you just marry him?!" Vex snapped.
I could tell he was hurting. I could see it in his eyes.
"Vex.....I--" I began.
"No! Just shut the hell up Aya! I'm tired of hearing it!" Vex walked off.
As I watched him walk away from me, it felt like a part of me was lost.
I love Max. He was beautiful and strong and he saved my life. But as I watched Vex walk away, I reliezed, I loved him as well.
"Vex..... I'm sorry..." I whispered into the wind.
I sat down, going over my emotions. I loved two men. "What do I do?"
I thought, a tear falling down my cheek. But my train of thought was broken.
I heard a scream then noticed it was Vex! I looked over at where he was, and Max was over him, covered in blood with a knife to Vex's throat.
