Ah yes, it was your birthday mother.
I made a card for her.....when she picked it up and said "this is lovely card you've made nell" then she looked inside and said "oh, you made it kim."
nell is my six year old sister, btw...
On the other end of the spectrum, my dad thought it was shop bought *shakes head*
I got her a big bow with 60 thorntons chocolates in it. Not very original but....they were in the shop, reduced from somethin like....£15 to £7 an I thought "that's cheap" and bought them before finding a reason to....oh well, mum got them.
We also bought her sme salty liquorice, some strange flavour chutney and some overpriced chai tea (from farrah's, charlie!) because she likes all three of these. We bought her a lucky cat. Dad asked me to help him choose which colour, "black or gold?" he said and I replied "white". So She has a white lucky cat now....
And we got her some expensive facial creamy things and a geophyzz bath bomb from lush.
