To a heart seeking freedom, this island is a prison surrounded by water.

…Sought to escape from his prison.
He sought a way to cross into other worlds…
And he opened his heart to darkness.
His heart belongs again to darkness. All worlds begin in darkness, and all so end.
The heart is no different. Darkness sprouts within it, grows, consumes it.
Only the power of the heart without darkness is able to open Kingdom Hearts.
And the seven hearts without darkness in all the worlds…
… Belonging of the seven princesses of heart…
…Have opened the door!!
Behold the endless abyss!
Within lies the heart of all worlds—Kingdom Hearts!
Every light must fade, every heart return to darkness!

Kingdom Hearts! Fill me with the power of darkness!
Donald/Goofy: We need to close that door!
Ansem: It is futile. The Keyblade alone cannot seal the door to darkness.
And now your hearts will return to the darkness whence it came!
Sora: You’re wrong! That’s not the hearts true essence at all!
The heart may be weak, and sometimes it may even give in.
But I have learned…
… That deep down, there’s a light that never goes out!
Without a doubt Kingdom Hearts is… LIGHT!
Ansem: Wha-- Light?! But why-- So warm--!!!!!
Sora: That bright light is what really lies deep in everyone’s hearts.
I know it! Let’s close the door!
Donald/Goofy: It won’t budge.
Sora: It’s so heavy… Riku: Don’t give up!! Come on Sora! Together, we can do it!
Donald/Goofy: Th-There are heartless in there?! H-Hurry!
Mickey: Now, Sora! Let’s close this door for good!
Donald/Goofy: Your Majesty!
Sora: But what’ll happen to you two?
Mickey: Don’t worry. There will always be a door to the light.
Riku: Sora… Take care of Kiari, will you?
Donald/Goofy: Come on, let’s close this thing! Lets go.
Sora: Kiari!
Kiari: Sora!
Sora: How’d you get here?
Kiari: I don’t know one moment I’m with--ah! Sora--!
Sora: Kiari!

Kiari: I know you will! The worlds are all returning…
