I'm the one, who everyone counts on,
They call me when I'm gone, and
If I'm not home, it''s like Ive committed a crime
They expect me to be around all the time,
They ask me for advice, but
They don't know that it comes with a price,
I give it without regret, but
They don't know that I'm so upset.
They come to me with all their dilemmas,
School, relationships, projects and more,
I stop what I'm doing and I lead an eager hand, but
They don''t now what I cant stand,
I'm always there when they feel down, and
Yet when I'm in trouble all they do is walk away,
"I'm busy right now." They always say.
So I put on a smile, and act like nothings wrong,
Sometimes I cant stand it, but I've gotta stay strong,
I continue to help them day after day,
For their sake and mine, I have to stay this way.
