This smile that I wear
it is not real
I pasted it over my frown to hide my sorrow
Happiness is not a gift
it is something we borrow
Sadness was given to us
a bad gift on god's part
one that I wish I could return
it pains the heart
draining sanity from the soul
that seems to be it's goal
This poem is one that I am actually somewhat pleased with the results.
