Behind Gray Eyes
By: Me
Behind those gray eyes lies a whole world of blue and green
A darker side to your soul that even you haven't foreseen
It sounds cliché, but there's a flame within those frozen spheres
Which occasionally melts just enough to release one or two chosen tears
While salty tears runs like ocean currents down my cheeks
As depression settles into my throat, making it impossible to speak
For fear that something will remind me of the pain I've felt
Remembrance of times full of sorrow, with which I've dealt
Unable to think, calmness is suppressed, leading to a fatal mistake
One wrong move, silent darkness, from which I'm unable to awake
Recollection of memories as I gaze into the depth of your eyes
Searching for an that indication that everything you ever said wasn't a lie
Pale orbs stare back like a wolf in the night howling at the moon and stars
As I lay bleeding next to you, hoping time together again will soon be ours
This seemingly terrible fate may soon turn out to have been woven well
My strength slowly fades, on my way to join you in heaven or hell
