um... yay!
me love books
lately I've been reading a lot of books by political satirists. Books by John Stewart, Lewis Black, Bill Maher, and Al frankin. They are great and very intelligent books. I agree with what they say and I find them very funny. I like politics but at times I find it very hard to understand. Sure I'm young, I know more politics than most people my age, I tend to like to gravitate to people who are smarter than me though so sometimes it feels like I am clueless. Right now I'm reading a book called "new rules" by Bill Maher, It has a lot of interesting things in it, many of the "new rules" are from his political show.

You know that story about how those people put a statue of the ten commandments in front of a court house? Apparently one of the ten commandments is to not worship statues... anyone find this... stupid? They build something that says not to build it. Not like the 10 commandments should be anywhere NEAR a court house. We don't need religion to mix with laws, it's in the constitution, remember the constitution? Religeon is stupid (ok, mostly just christianity). The bible says gay people are wrong, but slavery is right. The same book about 2 people who spawned the whole human race (incest?) and about a guy living in a whale.

my beliefs (in a nutshell)=

~abortion, the womens choice, nobody else but her own. no men get to answer this rolleyes or else we get control over their balls. even if it is illegal then people will just do it anyhow, but with coathangers. man say we should take the responsibity, they aren't the ones that have to ******** birth it.
~the UN, good! it's not thier responsiblity to clean up our messes
~bush, bad
~bill clinton, yay!
~al gore, thanks for helping make the internet
~cheney, bad, the puppeter
~pope, bad, celibacy has proven to not be healthy
~religion, bad (not all bad, but don't believe the bible, c'mon people)
~enviornment, yay!
~war, bad
~support your troops stickers, stupid because people think that it's ok. I don;t support the war, because it makes our troops DIE, if you support them they wouldn't be there.
~media, lies and propaganda
~republicans, money grubbing, religion pushing bastards
~democrats, spineless
~stem cell research~ good, I had to change my grandmother's diapers, you tell me that her alzheimers desease wasn't as important as subatomic goo you can't see. you look at my 9 year old cousin with diabetes and tell her that you chose something so undevoloped that it hasn't even decided what cells it's going to form yet and say that she isn't as important.

ill add more if i think of them. if you want to discuss any of these on an intelectual conversation I would be happy to be stimulated... of the mind ninja

well after our invigorating conversation I'll comment here 3nod heart

I love john stewart and I am gonna borrow his book from my friend when they're done with it. My dad hates him and his show because he's "partisan" and makes fun of republicans when he does the same to democrats and my dad has selective hearing (republican/mormon trait)
I agree on the bible, I feel most parts of religion are so people don't feel lonely and useless in the world, and so they do not fear what happens after death... which to me are all fien and dandy. I am against pushing religion on others, but I am not completely against it because I feel I do not know enough about all the religions out there to make a good decision, I figure "I wasn't there so how can I say what is right?"
And yeas the bible is one big controdiction... I've heard enough to draw that conclusion. :3nod :

    On your beliefs:
~abortion, the womens choice, nobody else but her own (I agree men just want to feel impowered ninja xd )
~the un, good! (Is good but it still needs work and could do soo much more)
~bush, bad (He's alittle out there but I did like him more than kerry)
~bill clinton, yay! (He was oke, he was good for helping the national debt or whatever it's called, sorry it's late x.x)
~al gore, thanks for helping make the internet (I didn't like him for some reason, but yaay internet!)
(gaia cut off my post crying "" wink

~cheney, bad (I don't know much about him except for that he does alot in alot of places *shruggs)
~pope, bad (If people want to follow an idle go right ahead, just don't preach and bring me into it! gonk )
    ~religion, bad (Can't say)
~enviornment, yay! (Environment is a good thing, yaay for oxygen!)
~war, bad (I only believe in defense and prevention of threats, not sticking our noses where they do not belong, I'm not saying "Blow 'er up" I'm saying attack us and endanger the innocent and you're barking up the wrong tree)
~support your troops stickers, stupid (I have many family members in the armed forces some that have been over in Iraq so I do support our troops, my birth mom joined the army *Is adopted but believes in abortion, how wierd is that?*
~media, lies and propaganda (definatually, get geraldo rivera off the air the dumb s**t!!! >,>"" wink
~republicans, money grubbing, religeon pushing bastards (Most of them, and more converting everyday)
~democrates, spineless (yeas, and I see unions as bringing systems down and prices up, even if they do help workers, I still think they can do more harm than good in some cases.)

rock on! totally agree with you in that religion is bad. It is just another form of mind control just well........to control people. But you have to remeber, that tough religion is primative, good things have come from it, like thebasic laws of being a good human being. As for your list, i do agree with many things on it, some i do not, like, yes, the current pope is a nazi, but the last one we had did alot. He was one of the mast powerful people in the world, someone the religious nut balls listened to, and he used to his power to begin to modernize and change to veiws of the church to something much less extreme. Not all war is bad. The current one which is just a way for bush and his buddies to make more money is bad. The world wars, which were horrible wars where millions died were bad, but they were needed, and there was just cause for our cause to enter them. The world wars put an end to all of the colonialism and the atrocities that went with them. It was just for us to come to the aid of our fellow man to make sure that the entire world did not fall to the nazi's. War, in ancient times, was not only dissolve rivalries of kingdoms and empires, it was also a form of population control. You simply sent off people to fight your wars, and if you didnt, your people would use up all of the resources and die of hunger. Also, the just war doctrine(a creation of the church) pretty much outlines what is a just war, and what is a massacer so a few people can make money. For the support your troops stickers, though it does mean that the money goes straight to the war war, supporting your troops is not bad. Why is it bad to support people, who were just regular people, who, in many cases, were in the national gaurd, who were taken from their lives and forced to fight a war that they did not fight for. and to end it, many republicans are not religous maney grabbers, they are simply people who have worked all their lives, supporting themselves and others, and now want to have a lifestyle that gives them the ability to save some of their money, that they have earned themselves. I like your ideas, but you have to remeber, that there are many sides to every story..........and if you were to take every side into consideration, nothing would happen, ending all that we know. To prevent that, we have to make a world that is not perfect. p.s. stop bidding on vials, that took a lot of work for me

~abortion, Wrong! The women should take on the burdens of her choice instead of murdering a un-born child because she jsut decides she doesn't want it. She could just put it up for adoption
~the un, Bad ! They screw around and waiste our money. The U.S. providers the majority of funds that run the U.N. yet countrys that contribute nothing get the same power over the UN.
~bush, Not doing very good right now.(Stop immigration)
~bill clinton, Bad! Because of him North Korea now has a nucleur program.
    ~al gore, bad !
    ~cheney, okay!
~pope, Good ! (Im catholic, so I kinda have to say this)
    ~religion, whatever
~enviornment, okay , but if I hear anymore global warming bulshit...
~war, Good ! At least the motive is.
    ~support your troops stickers, Pointles
    ~media , lies
    ~ republicans, better than democrates
    ~democrats, BAD

Feel free to PM me and discuss you political point of views. Since most of yours I highly disagree with. While those books are great and all. They are if you would read the genre completly fictional and opionated
    ~media, lies and propaganda
~republicans, money grubbing, religion pushing bastards
    ~democrats, spineless
