The First Vampire Cat
Chapter 5
It only took a second to discover that Vex's lips were on mine. I felt my tail and ears perk up in surprise and bewilderment. I didn't know what to do or how to react. Vex continued to kiss me as I tried to figure things out. I tried to break away, but my body didn't respond. Vex deepened his kiss and held the back of my head. That sent a tingle running up and down my spine. As I felt Vex's lips separate from mine, I looked into his reddish-orange eyes. He was still crying.
"I don't want you to get hurt Aya. I care about you, a lot. If you're in trouble I want to be there to protect you. Please, allow me to come with you?" he pleaded.
My heart pounded, and my mouth was dry.
"N.....No...." I whispered and began to run. I looked back at him, he was looking at his feet crying. I felt and heard my heart pounding, but I continued to run.
So many questions were running throughout my mind. I was confused, worried, bewildered and a bit scared. I ran until I remembered I needed air to live.
I collapsed to my knees, gasping in air. I looked around. I was in a forest beside a river. I crawled over to the nearest tree and lied down.
"What's going on?! I didn't know Vex felt that way about me! How was I supposed to know?!" I thought looking up at the clouds. I sighed.
I put my fingers up to my lips, still recalling the kiss.
It made my lips tingle just thinking about it. His lips were warm but his kiss still sent a chill throughout my whole body.
"I can't believe he did that..." I thought, and dozed off.

When I awoke, it was sundown. I sighed and stood up to stretch. I dreampt of Vex kissing me. It was actually a really nice kiss......
I thought about the kiss again, and I could almost imagine his lips on mine again.
Actually, I did feel something on my lips, but It wasn't Vex's lips. It was a hand!
In an instant, another hand held a dagger to my throat.
"Not one sound or your life will be at its end." a voice whispered into my ear.
It was a male's voice. My heart pounded and I felt myself break out into an instant sweat. The fur on my tail lifted in alarm. "You will come with me. I have a few questions to ask you." the guy said and began dragging me. That's when I bit into his hand as hard as I could. When I tastde blood I let go. He yelped and released me. I fell to the ground, spun around and saw him.
He looked about my age with reddish-brown hair and hazel eyes. I also noticed his sharp teeth that glistened in the sunset. He was scowling at me from the shadows.
"Who are you?" I whispered.
In a flash, he was ontop of me, pinning me down, with the dagger at my neck again.
"Who revived Maximillion of the Vampires?!" he snapped.
I was silent, but my heart started beating faster and I knew he heard it.
"I don't know who the hell you're talking about! Who are you!?" I screamed.
The boy looked at me, with an evil look in his eyes.
"Answer my question girl or you're dead!"
"Answer mine or I won't say anything!"
He jerked his head back in surprise at my ferosity.
"Very well...... I am Wesley of the Werewolves. I escaped from prison to rid this world of Maximillion. And you are going to help me find him. But first, who revived him?" He growled at me.
"I don't know who you are talking about!!" I snapped.
"Don't play with me girl! I smell vampire on your breath! All vampires are connected! Tell me or you are dead!" Wesley snapped.
When I gave no answer, it infuriated him. "Suit yourself. This was your choice."
he smirked and got himself ready to cut open my throat. I tried to scream, but nothing came out. I looked into his eyes and relized he was serious.
"This isn't happening!" I thought.
"Die you imbecilic feline!" he yelled. I saw the dagger fly towards my neck.
"HELP!!!!!" I screamed.
