Some random things about my experiences at Gaia and stuff. Also includes what guilds I'm in, so that *I* can access them easier, rather than continuously going through my History or profile or something to get there.
I fear the worse for DA...
I have just taken the time to read the many statements that are in the journals of many deviantartists, as well as viewing the threads and journals that have been deleted on DA via other websites. I have to say this:

There is something seriously wrong with dviantArt community we all loved so very much.

I have been an active member of DA since 2003. I joined when I was 13, and I was just estatic that there was a site I could use to post all my art to receive feedback on. Over the years, my art and mind have matured quite a bit. Unlike many others, I will have to say it was *not* because of DA, but because of my own reason and determination to better myself in whatever I do, including art. However, I would like to say that DA managed to help me along the way, for being subjected to so many other artists is a great plus when really trying to develop your own technique and style in art.

I have seen many artists come and go due to arguments, frustrations, and other technicalities. Sometimes and admin would interfere, as an admin should, sometimes they wouldn't. I have seen events that sprouted unfortunately on that site that could have been avoided a long while ahead of time. I thought I had seen the worse. I guess I was wrong.

Being 13/14, I had no idea what any of the technical mumbo-jumbo was about that they had you agree to at the beginning. As long as I could post my art work I was happy. And for a good time I was. Until the search engine was taken away. I found this one movement extremely unfair. I was 13/14 at the time, how could I possibly pay for a subscription? Lots of new options came for those who could dish out the cash and I, of course, could only sit back with whatever I had and be satisfied with submitting art. As long as I could submit art, I was happy.

Now I know, you can't use the search engine, big deal. It was a big deal to me back then. It seemed like a good idea, saving bandwith and what-not. I understand that to keep the site in motion, money must be accumulated and properly used. But does it seem to be? Things seem to be spiralling out of control quickly.

And now the jark stuff has occured. Jark and Matteo are now out of the picture, leaving Spyed. I have not heard Spyed's story as of yet, no one has, because he refuses to post a statement himself. I doubt, however, that Jark is going to act like a villain set on bringing down a company he built with his own hands, like a masked one would on old episodes of Scooby Doo. I do not believe that Jark would resign from his own post and then complain and fight about it. He was obviously kicked off the council. Now the question remains.... Why did Spyed do it?

I patiently wait his answer.
