I've lived in this area just about my entire life (certainly for as far back as I can actually remember). Being that it's a fairly rural area, there are bears around. But prior to this year, I think I only ever actually saw bears maybe two or three times. (In total. That's a pretty low bear sighting per year rate.) This year, I've seen at least six of them! (Including two today alone!) Weird. Don't know what's up with all the bear activity lately, but, as long as they're just passing through the yard (and not harming anyone or anything), I'm not going to get too worked up over it, I guess. It's just weird that I've seen so many of them lately. *Shrug*
