Back to a new reality
I'm still jet lagged from taking the red eye to Boston two Saturdays ago and returning on the following Friday's red eye back again. The in between has such repercussions that the first waves are just being felt. The cousins had a good time together on the Cape. Chi and I had a good day thrift shopping with the M-Vazquez family ending in a one-of-a-kind store pandering to the old and the young hippie. There was jewelry buying by the two female cousins. And, there was the fall that broke the calmer waters of our family. Abuela fell and broke her hip. We had to leave her behind with Papi-san and my brother's family. She had surgery and is now in a Rehab place in Sandwhich until she is "ready" to be transported back to Florida. Quien sabe cuando y como marchara hasta aya. Papi-san's cataract surgery is incomplete and his replacement knee cannot be put in until Abuela is fully recovered. It's the beginning of the old old time of my parents. There are big changes beginning to ripple the waters of our family. And we just left Florida and living near the Abuelos a year ago to work and live on the extreme opposite coast of the EE UU AA.
