One Reason Not To Work In Retail
so, while i was working at a drug store one day, an old man approached me.
I'm going to paste it slowly so you get the whole point before seeing something else.
do you sell vibrators?" the man asked.
i did not answer him, i was too busy gaping stupidly at him.
vibrators? what kind of kinky drug store did he think he was at? the sex shop is around the corner and down the street, on the left hand side.
"do you sell vibrators?" he asked again, this time he spoke slower. as if it would help me understand his question better.
"um," i managed to get out, while i was trying not to laugh or do something offensive in explaining that we don't sell vibrators here.
"you know, back vibrators?" he continued on, as if i were the dumbest person alive. "for back pain?"
my mouth fell open in a wide 'o', and i attempted to hold back a laugh. "Oh! Let's go ask pharmacy." so i lead him back to the pharmacy, where we were informed that no, we do not sell any vibrators. not even the back pain kind.
