I know that disappointment is a part of daily life. Disappointment such as that your mom won't let you go to that party you wanted to go to, or that you don't have anymore candy left in your drawer.
But have you ever felt that something you've worked on for a long time wasn't anywhere near as good as someone else's? That gut-wrenching pain that something that is yours, that you made, doesn't cut the chase. Someone else's is so much better, and you will never even be second-place, or third. It's a horrible feeling, and I know it now. It's one of the worst feelings that you can have, that sick feeling that something you have made that you put so much heart into just isn't good enough. I know, I know, deal with it, but it's not that easy.
Maybe I want to take a break from it all, go and do something else with my time. Maybe it just isn't worth wasting my life trying to be better than someone else all the time. I'm going to do something worth it. After this most horrible of things, I don't want anything to do with it anymore.
