I wrote this a few days ago, at like midnight, haha. Inspired in part by the star-crossed lovers in my novel, and a random line I came up with to describe them: "forever means nothing."

Forever means nothing. It's just a word
Used by romantics to call forth visions
Of eternal love that binds like a cord
And can cause a bond, strong as smelted steel.
Forever is a falacy, a time
Uncertain and unattainable. It
Can not be reached, measured. Like a mime,
Forever is mute. It's naught but a git.
Forever eats at your heart and your soul.
It is empty promises and lovely
Sentiments, with a very costly toll,
Reulting in pain and solemnity.
Forever means nothing, can mean no more;
It's a traitor, a killer, to its core.
