I did. I tend to draw all my own sigs.
Could you draw one for me?
Maybe. Depends if I know you/like you or not. People who I know and like are more likely to get arts from me than total randoms or people I don't like. If I don't know you, don't expect me to draw stuff for you out of the goodness of my heart just because you asked. Why should I spend time and creative effort doing stuff for someone I've never even spoken to before? Even if I do know you, people who express interest in giving me stuff in exchange for art are more likely to get arts from me than people who just ask with no indication of recompense for my time.
So do you take commissions?
I have been known to do so in the past. However, I am notoriously flaky with regard to actually delivering on them, and commissions may take weeks or even months to appear, if at all. Yeah, I'm that unreliable.
Why's that?
I have very limited time available for drawing - I work full-time and have a pretty busy social life in the evenings, which doesn't leave much space for drawing. As such, drawing time is precious to me, so when I do draw I like to work on the stuff I want to draw, which is not always the same as the stuff other people want me to draw. Sometimes it is, sometimes it isn't. I'm fickle like that.
So, how much for a commission?
I generally tend to suck when it comes to putting a price on my drawings, but if I was going to take a commission I'd say it wouldn't be for less than, uh, 20,000g or so. Possibly more.
Why so expensive? That's like, loads of gold!
Like I say, I value my time, and GAIA Gold is fine for buying pixels, but isn't any good for keeping me supplied with hookers and gin. domokun
I asked you for a commission weeks ago. Is it done yet?
It'll be done when it's done. I am an arteest, ze creative juices cannot be forced or rushed!
Though sometimes I forget, so it might be worth reminding me. ninja
Do you do art trades?
Only if I really like your art. Be warned, however, that I am pretty snobby in that regard. If I've expressed praise and adulation for your art, that's a good sign. Otherwise, don't ask if you don't want to risk hurt feelings.
This FAQ kind of makes you sound like a grouchy a*****e.
That's not a question.
Why does this FAQ make you sound like such a grouchy a*****e?
Probably because when it comes to certain issues, I am a grouchy a*****e. I dislike the perception that people who can draw should do so for anyone, for free. I dislike the perception that an artist's time isn't valuable, and shouldn't be rewarded correspondingly. I dislike being taken advantage of.
Any other questions? domokun
