Scattered thoughts taking form
A dove on a raven's wing
Blended together in a perfect gray
A melting pot of chaos contained
Balanced perfectly on the tip
Of the raven's wing
Paradise
Precariously it sits
Daring to tip back and forth
Too far to either side
One mistake
A word from a snake
It falls
Chaos is released
The world falls too
Deeper into the darkness
That deceptively promises no more pain
Chaos reigns
In the blood on the sheet
The eyes that will never again behold the world
In the gunpowder
That covers a killer's clothes
In the black mask that hides identity
But still the raven flies
Soaring high above us
Hoping that, maybe, someday
We will return
Blending together once again
And returning to our rightful place
Atop the raven's wing
