I can sum this up in two words. Don't. Bother.

I think my biggest problem with this book was that the author overdid it with the flower descriptions, you are basically swimming in these poetic descriptions that is somehow suppose to make you forget how flat the character is. Diana, as her 40 year old self, is boring and dull.

In the first few pages you are presented with her choice. Someone has to be shot, who is it? Marueen says shoot me. Diana says don't shoot me. Now you are witness to Diana as an adult having to live with her decision. The problem is, she doesn't. Diana is so wrapped up her in own life that she seems to forget that she gave her friend to the wolf to receive this boring life.

Young Diana, who's story is intermixed, is only semi interesting. It seems too much like the classic bad girl grows up to live the boring life.

The final chapter wraps it all up that either feels like a cop out or a brilliant twist. Truthfully, I don't really care.
