hello... this is master chin. i decided to try and write something in here since i only have one entry so far. sweatdrop

-i thought i might tell you about my day.

i had to go to town to buy some herbs and fish for our meal. i met a young gentlemen in town that said he was a ronin and he challenged me to a duel.

i hadn't gotten my supplies yet, so i thought i would observe what the young man knew. he looked about 16 or so. he carried a plain katana and a wakazashi of the same set: a daisho, if you will.

anyway, as he took his stance, i could see that he wasn't very experienced and probably had no master. he was too relaxed and sloppy and i got past his defenses easily with a quick downward slash.

-i think i might have embarassed him a little. there were a few onlookers when he had challenged me, but he didn't care, and i certainly didn't, as i had no intentions of harming the young man.

he told me his name was Hizashi and i asked him to join my martial academy to hone up on his skills. he wasn't quick to trust anyone in the beginning, not even his own classmates.

-as i observed him in the coming months, i realized just how skilled and powerful he was to become and how capable, in fact, of achieving that goal in a short period of time.
