.....Now....I made this up...so...be gentle on how you criticize...

As the rain kept pouring down I ran from my troubles.
My mother didn't want me....my father was dead...and my sister spared me no tears.
I couldn't stop my eyes from watering....the thing was they were shadowed by the rain.
Many have told me I'm lucky for having a family like this.
But what they don't know is it's an act.
My mother puts on a fake smile and stays nice when friends are around.
But as soon as my friends leave greif befalls my life once more.
The only one that truely lifts my spirits is the one who I've grown to love.
My one and only.
Thank you for always staying by my side.
You're the one who stops the rain from falling.
