Think I finally have the hang of it at Bass'ken. Just need to confirm then conquer Durem. smile

YUP! I've got it! The technique can use some polishing as I'm sure some fish are getting filtered out too but :p.
Having wasted a lot of D-bait then prematurely swearing allegiance to F this is what I've uncovered;
Trash tends to bob around in the middle usually slowly moving to the right to sit there for a while until it either reels in or going out the line. Occasionally it moves to the left behaving about the same, but sometimes it can move fast so watch your hooks initial behavior as that is key. Because i wasted a lot F-bait reeling in trash I can say with 98% (if not 100) certainty that seven out of ten times anything moving like this is trash.
Guppies- Slowest moving fish in Gaia and easy to confuse with trash (maybe cause they are worth about as much when it comes to exchanging them for gold. ^o^ ). After reading the guides and the explanations there I found yellows (as they pointed out) do move very similar to trash (most of the time but not always) more than the orange or red, but those behave in the same manner sometimes too, more so the orange than the red.
Bass- It doesn't matter what color they move faster than guppies but can start off moving like trash- best to use a rod with a long reach so you can watch a hook's behavior for a few seconds so you have time to determine if you want to let it go or not and be able to!
Stripers- Weird moving little bastards. They usually move pretty fast compared to the trash and the other fish but sometimes they can move rather slow and like the bass can start out moving like trash. I've found it's the blue ones that tend to move slow more often than the others.
Rares; don't even bother asking me as I've not caught any, plus I doubt unless someone has caught a numerous amount in a short period of time, say ten of one kind in a week, I seriously doubt any info on their movement will be anywhere near accurate unless other players that have lucked up and caught a rare or two can agree to another's testimony.
