October was here. My mother had went back to her home planet for her usual visit in the fall, her older brother staying with his preganent wife that was expecting soon. My father and I was waiting at home, on Earth, for her phone call.
Sitting in his room, Tiran was on his computer chating with Ethan.
Ethan- What r u & ur dad doin since Eva went back home???
Trian- Nothing (: but I'm worried bout food x-x we arent the best cooks...
Ethan- LOL! Last time u 2 burnt noodles 4 spaggatti! Lol!
Tiran- Dude... shut up...
Tiran- !brb mom's callin!
Getting up from his computer desk, Tiran left his room. “Hey Dad! Don't hang up before I get there!” yelling as he walked through the living room. Tiran stepped into the kitchen to see his fathers back to him. “How is she?” asking as he walked up behind him.
Noticing that his dad was holding the phone at his side, Tiran was confused why he hadn't answered him yet. “Dad? Was that not Mom?”
Dan, Tiran's father, finally turned around. There was a stream of tears running down his face.
Tiran was now horrofied. He has never seen his dad cry before.”D-dad... what's wrong? How's Mom?”
Dan stepped past Tiran to sit down at the table. "Tiran... your mother. She... she didn't make it to the docking area." he paused to choak back more tears. "Space pirates ended up taking them down... thinking that they were taking down the ship that carried the leader over area eight." Dan fell slinet once again.
"What... th-that can't be true. This is some kind of joke you two are playing on me, isn't it!?" yelling as Tiran slamed his hands down on the table.
Looking up at his son, Dan shook his head. He then started to dial his brother-in-law, his good friend.
Tiran sat down at the table, staring out into space, as everything started to sink in.
