Welcome to day two of my amazing adventure! We left the motel where we were working early the next day (much to the dismay of Sumizome, who hates getting up early) It was still dark. Soon after, it started getting light, a small black cat padded across the path.
"Nooo!" i yelled. "Now we'll have bad luck all day!!!"
"Ooh! A kitty" Kitty yelled and ran off after it. Frizzy shrugged and followed Kitty through the underbrush. Hahachi, Sumizome, and I looked at each other.
"Oh, well," said Hahachi, "We might as well go after them. If dumb and dumber stray too far, they'll get lost and die."
"Well what are we waiting for," said Sumizome,"Lets split while we have the chance!" I threw her a glance. "Jk, Jk!" she said, cheerfully.
I guess when it comes to cats, Kitty gets some sort of hyperadrenaline rush, because no human alive could have gone as far as she did in such a short amount of time. When we reached her 10 minutes later, she was sitting Indian style on the mossy ground stroking a yowling, hissing, thrashing black kitten, with Frizzy standing over her, huffing and out of breath. I kinda felt sorry for the cat, so i said to Kitty,
"lets go. We have to get back to the road."
"Can i keep him?" She gave me puppy dog eyes. The effect was great except for the yowling cat in her arms. Nonetheless, i couldn't resist.'
"Fine." i said. "Just make sure he doesn't cross the path in front of us again. I don't want another day of bad luck."
OK," said Kitty cheerfully as we turned back to the path. After about an hour of walking, we realizd that we were completly and totally lost. I climbed up a tree to find something familiar, but i didn't see anything. Frizzy paced around in circles, contemplating whether to set up camp here and light a fire, or keep trying to find the path at the risk of getting even more lost. Having a girl scout as a traveling companion is a good choice, no matter how kooky she is. Eventually we set up camp and huddled around the fire. A word to the wise: next time a black cat crosses your path, lock yourself in your room and sit in the corner with your back to the wall, so you don't end up like us.

P.S. I resent that remark! I do so have mad skills! But you guys can have whatever mad skills you want as long as it's not perverted or a put down to anyone else. I lost the game.
