Appearance: Hanmou looks like your average little girl, but that's just where average ends. Her childish face is usually emotionless and calm. She has the Inuzuka clan's red fang marks on her cheeks. Her hair is brown and stiff, and spiked in a sort of forwards sweep. Her eyes are something different all together.
The only ones who have seen her eyes are her parents and her siblings. She was born blind in her left eye, thus the name "Hanmou", which litterally means "half-blind". Now, however, her eyes are always covered by her scratched out konoha headband. When removed, her eyes are closed... and her eyelids are covered with many crossed scars. (there's mor about this in her history).
Her outfit consists of the hitai-ate with the scratched out village symbol, the black akatsuki coat with red clouds, geta. Underneath her coat, which has the bottom half open, she wears a knee-length kimono of a red colour and black hakama. Underneath this, she is believed to wear your run of the mill chainmail shirt, like most ninja. She doesn't appear to have a kunai holster on her leg.
She's scrawny, but her stable, even posture gives her good balance and quite a hefty swing.
Ginmaru, her dog, is slightly larger in size than your average cat, and is still fairly young (two years). His fur is all a shiny silvery hue, thus his name ("Gin" means "Silver" wink . His eyes are beady and squinty, giving the impression of bad vision, though this sharp-fanged, sharp-clawed nin-dog is quite the opposite. After all, he's Hanmou's vision, so to speak.
Personality:: She's quiet and reserved. She's not one to jump up and stir things up, but that doesn't mean she's shy. When approached, she will respond without suffering any discomfort. She's stern, logcial, and tries to keep a cool head. However, like her ancestors, she does have a biting temper.
When fighting, though mianly she stands still (unless dodging or re-positioning herself), when she loses her temper she becomes very active, and very feral, throwing aside all her manners and calm attitude, turning into a vicious jerk.
She does what she's told without question, knowing the value of obedience. However, when pushed a little too far, she will refuse, though this has rarely gotten her into trouble.
Her senses are incredibly keen, dues to her lack of vision.
Ginmaru, her nin-dog, is quite the opposite of Hanmou. He's loud, aggresive, and can't seem to sit still. He usually stays around Hanmou, though when he gets bored he'll wander (not too far). He gets very riled up in battle, and unlike his cold and calculating owner, he likes to jump into battle and tear away at the opposing force.
One thing they do have in common, though, is the fact he's obedient... but only to Hanmou. He listens to her every command, no matter how grumpy he'll get about it. Being a stubborn dog otherwise, if anyone else tries to get him to do something, he'll either ignore them or get a bit snarly.
Ginmaru is believed to be her "eyes", in a metaphorical sense.
Also, Hanmou can actually communicate with him.
History: Born of the proud Inuzuka clan, Hanmou was born and raised with heightenned instincts and senses, and when she was eight she was given a nin-dog, like is custom with her clan. She was born blind in her left eye, and over the years, her vision in her right eye began to worsen.
She went through academy life getting teased about her lack of vision, and had many pranks played on her. She was a tough girl, though, and cared not about the tricks of her peers. She flew through the first two years of academy life with flying colours, though she had no friends (except Ginmaru). She graduated after a mere three years of academy life, having spend the majority of the third year advancing faster than any academy student on record in the past several decades. This was a shocker, considering her lack of vision.
One day, after she went home, she discovered her mother weeping bitterly. Her father and her eldest brother had died in war. Her father was spending up all he could to get an opperation for her right eye, so that she might see. Now that the jounin was gone, the main income was severed. The operation would be expensive.
The next few weeks were a living hell. The rediculously skilled ten year old girl was completely torn by the loss, and the other genin didn't seem to care, not even her own squad (they were too busy with preparations for the chunin exams).
Finally, she had had enough. One night, when her mother and her remaining sister and brother were out, the young genin girl snapped. She removed her hitai-ate from her forehead. Ginmaru was sleeping, and therefore could not protest. She cut short her long, beautiful hair.
"This is for onee-chan," she proclaimed, as her older sister had always admired her hair.
With the kunai, she then cut off the sleeping Ginmaru's collar. "This is for Otouto," she said, as her younger brother had been pressing their mother for weeks to get him a ninja dog, who he proclaimed would be his but still be free (by cutting the collar, she symbolically "freed" Ginmaru).
She then sliced the sleeves off her knee-length kimono top. "This is for mother," she said, as her mother often had to fix the tears in her sleeves she had gotten for training (now mother wouldn't have to worry about it).
She then sliced a deep gouge across the leaf symbol on her hitai-ate. "This is for Onii-san," she declared. Her older brother didn't want to be a shinobi, but had been pushed into it from ehr parents.
"And this..." she reversed her kunai and proceeded to literally gouge out her eyes. "...is for father!" She cried. The smell of blood and cries of pain had awoken Ginmaru at this point, and though the nin-dog protested, Hanmou finished the act anyways. Now no one would have to worry about any eye operations, eh?
She fled the house that night, with nothing but a small pack of food, Ginmaru, a scratched hitai-ate around her forhead, and the clothes on her back.
She left her village and joined the Akatsuki. The Akatsuki were doubting at first, but when the blind child demonstrated her amazing skills (aided by her heightened senses), she got in with ease.
Clan Name: Inuzuka
Family Bloodlimit: The Inuzuka clan is known for their use of dogs as fighting companions. Clan members are apparently given their own canine partner or partners when they reach a certain age. Thereafter, the shinobi and his/her dog(s) are practically inseparable. Clan members have distinctive red fang markings on their cheeks, animalistic eyes, and enlarged canine teeth.
Her dog's name is Ginmaru, and his pelt is a shiny silvery colour.

Hanmou is my character, and she's one of my favorites. Please, please, PLEASE DO NOT steal my Hanmou, or my general concept, at that! The ten-year old blind Akatsuki girl is MINE!
