For me, at age 14, writing is a stress reliever. A way to become anyone, in any situation without changing who I am as a person. what people need to understand is that what I write is almost never about me. My life is calm, mostly boring. I've written suicide stories, murder stories, romance stories, sci-fi stories, vampire stories, ect. but none of them are about me or anyone I know. Im currently writting a twenty-some chptr novel called "Happy Death's-giving." Ive finished 7 chptrs within the past year. thats about 18 pgs long on computer paper. (Im definatley taking a month off from writing and having a party when its done!) Even if it doesnt amount to anything, Ill always cherish it, since its only my 1st full-length novel and I've only had 1 thing pubblished my whole life. Ill keep you guys posted on its progress.
I also use reading as a stress reliever. A way to take my mind of things that are bothering me. I almost never start a book unless Im stressed and I never read a book that I can't really get into.
Third I am an artist, and drawing, painting, ect. is my third stress reliever.
If im out of Ideas or dont have a good book, ill use art. I have about 10-15 sketchbooks, half lined paper, half solid quality sketch paper, all of different sizes and all almost or completley full.
And finally, if Im stressed, you can ask my freinds, I will talk for hours, untill your ears pop of your head and run away, about whats gotten me so ticked.
