Our hearts are always clouded by doubt, distrust, and hatred
Once freed of those things we seem to find happiness but,
as it fades we plummet back into the darkness and watch others
try to escape its grasp. We seek happiness because we fear the dark
and yet its emptyness makes us wonder about its depth
We are weak creatures playing with something we fear
Not knowing it is the cause of the chaos in our hearts.
