Prisoner
The rough palm of your hand,..
Slides gently across my cheek,..
Your fingers,..
Freezing cold,..
My arm reacts,..
I go to hit you,..
But the chain pulls it back,..
A smirk on your face,..
The face of the devil,..
A low growl in the back of my throat,..
Another smirk,..
Then a slap in the face,..
It stings,..
My cheek,..
Now red,..
I move away,..
And hide in the corner,..
I'm a prisoner,..
No one to let me out,..
The chains begin to pull,..
I'm being dragged along,..
The chains around my wrists,..
Begin to dig in,..
A couple of small cuts,..
Start to bleed,..
It stings,..
The rust,..
Getting into the cuts,..
The door opens,..
And suddenly,..
There's light,..
The darkness fades away,..
There's more light now,..
But my eyes are blurry,..
The person in the doorway,..
Steps closer,..
Some kind of weapon in his hand,..
My eyes slowly adjusting,..
The chains drop,..
And the other guy lunges at him,..
Making my rescuer fall,..
He gets up quickly,..
And throws the guy,..
Out the window,..
Quickly,..
I back away,..
Not knowing if he'll hurt me,..
My back,..
To the wall,..
And he's infront of me,..
He kneels down,..
Then takes the chains off me,..
And once again,..
I'm free...
I feel like a prisoner sometimes.. So I named it this, the original name was gonna be Misery... But I couldn't get my mind to think it was good for this poem, then I came up with Prisoner.. and I liked it... xD
