History:
“’The world was filled with people who wanted to destroy it. That’s why the sun went away.’ It’s been about 10 years since I’ve heard that and everyday since then I pray the sun will return. I was just a few years older then you when it happened.”

“Well....I don’t really know what to say. It was there until the moon came out then it didn’t come up the next day. The moon never went down. I thought I had woken up in the middle of the night until I saw the time. It was 12:00 noon when I had woken up. I found my little sister trying to keep her sobs quiet under my bed. She pulled on my pants and told me through her tears to get under here or the bad people would get us. I didn’t know what she meant but I climbed under anyway. I grabbed my cell phone off the floor and a flashlight. We stayed as quiet as we could when we heard the foot steps. They entered through the door and said something I couldn’t understand. Suddenly the bed was lifted and my little sister was grabbed by the hair. I screamed at them to let her go but I was lifted by the arm. I used my cell phone to hit the guy holding me in the eye making him drop me. I looked at my sister and promised her I would save her one day, and then I jumped out the window and ran. I could hear them following me and I just kept running.

“I ran until I came across a park. By then they had given up the chase and returned to the house. I swiftly climbed into the dome in the sandbox and sighed. Then it hit me that I didn’t know what happened to my parents. I figured they were dead but I wasn’t sure. I thought maybe they made it out alive until I head the explosion. I was so scared. My home had been blown up. I began to cry but stopped. My cell phone had begun ringing. It was my friend. ‘Where are you?” was the first thing I could understand. I told him I was in the park where, just that yesterday, we played with our families in the sun light. ‘Thank god you’re ok. I’ll be right there.’ Was what he told me before he hung up. I waited for about 30 seconds before I saw him climb through one of the holes and land right in front of me. I hugged him tightly and cried on his shoulder. ‘We’ll save her. Don’t worry. Just cry your eyes out.’ He said and then my eyes felt tired and my world went black.

“I don’t really remember much of the rest of that day. When I awoke I expected to be home with my family instead of in the park, in a dome, cuddled against my friend’s chest. I looked at me then smiled. ‘Let’s leave this place. Leave this city, and the painful memories of the loss we have just suffered. We will save her though. You can count on that.’ Was all he said before he pulled me out of the dome and the city, never to look back.”

Dante is his lover but also his best friend. After all this happened, he and Dante travel the worlds, in search of His little sister.
