I smile to hide the lies

I’d rather be hated for who I am, then loved for who I'm not.

I’m used to being lonely. It’s the only thing I can rely on these days.

I sit and watch the world change, leaving me behind

It takes one smile to cover a million tears

Stand up for what’s right, even if you’re standing alone

I don’t need anyone cause everyone has forgotten me

We never say good-bye to the ones we love

The moon shines for those who can’t just as the sky weeps for those who won’t

I live in my own world to block out this lonely one

It’s blood that will come off my hands, reminding me of my new life and freeing me from my old

Forgotten but not gone

I gaze at the moon whishing to be freed from this cage

As I watch my sanity walk out the door, I think of you

Everything changes, and the world has left me behind

Behind the anger there is a desire to be loved

No one knows the depth of my loneliness

An empty room can be so loud

You never know what you have till it’s gone

The world changes but people will not

Peace is something that will never come

Gone but not forgotten
