From past to now
Toku was created in a science lab of a military compant called Black Chivalry as the first successful defense energy absorber. he was labeled SHIELD-1. Along with him was the first sucessful Offensive energy absorber, SWORD-1, named Tsurugi. Upon hearing the company's plan to use them as weapons, they break out the lab using their abilities. While Toku only sustained some cuts and bruises, Tsurugi lost the use of his left eye. Tsurugi disappears in the breakout and Toku escapes. From then on, Toku's spent a life on the run and almost constantly pursued by robots and super soldiers. Because of the fact that he was created to be a weapon, he had a negative outlook on himself, his purpose,and his future. The only objective that was left to him was to muster the power to destroy Black Chivalry before more like him were made. From time to time,he crossed paths with Tsurugi, and sometimes fought him. While it wasn't best for them to fight each other, they both had very different veiws on their purpose in life, though Toku never really had one for himself. He soon found a purpose when he met a beautiful dark angel that fell in love with him for who he was. As much as he told her that she could get better, she insited on being with him. This love he dicovered had strengthed a faint positive outlook and his power. Toku normally avoids trying to kill, but when he's pushed enough, he weill enter a "Beserker stage" where he becomes a blood driven man with the objective of killing whoever caused his anger and all that do anything to worse it.
