I am so sick and tired of people who can not mind their own business and must interfere where ever they see fit. I am talking about local and state officials. And this is why I say this....
My husband, about two weeks ago, left our kids in the car while he went in to pull out money at WaWa. Before you cry foul, it was pouring rain outside, he had to make it to this place that accepts our bill payments, and the kids had just woke up. He parked in the front of the store where he could see the kids at all times, left the windows rolled down about an inch or two, and took the keys out the ignition.
Well, two ladies saw my kids in the car and walked over to a police car and told the cop that two kids were alone in the car. Just as my husband walked out of the store and to the car. So the cop goes over and tried to give my husband a hard time...."It is illegal to leave the kids in the car" "You could be endangering their health" and other lines like that. I am so proud that my husband held his temper, because I would have flipped out.
Come on, raise your hand if your parents DID NOT leave you in the car at one point or another! My parents would leave me and my sisters in the car whenever they got gas or had to run in to a store real quick. I could understand if it had been +80 degrees out and the windows were rolled up...but it wasn't even like that! And now, some family crisis therapist guy has called once and dropped by once.
And we haven't even spoken to him yet! He called on the first of july at like 10:30 in the morning, and my husband calls him back around 12:30 because he was helping his father with something...no answer at the office...and an outdated message. Today, he dropped by...I did not hear one knock on the door all day...and half the day my front door was open to let the sun in! But he had been there because his card was stuck in my door.
Shady, if you ask me.
But the worst of it is, we have been super cleaning the house in like 6 hours so that he can't say anything if he wants to come in. The only thing that can be said is that our backyard looks like a jungle because we haven't mowed the lawn...that and we haven't taken the trash to the dump lately. My hubby is going to call the guy tomorrow..I have to work...I pray to every deity out there that things go okay...I can't lose my kids...I need them...I love them too much to let them go off with someone who only assumes they know what is best.
Shoot. These kids have it made. Plently of food, clothes, movies, video games, toys...my son's room looks like a toy shop!
