Well, this is another poem by me (Long time no journal entry eh? XD). It's called "Who Am I?", kind of a reflective poem to myself.

I walk into the room I know so well,
I see no one who has secrets to tell,
I am alone in my own little shell.
I hear nothing but the sound of silent serenity.
But is it the way my life will be?

I know I am the master of my life,
I see that my life has been full of strife,
But yet I know not why.
I see the bed,
The bed with the cover of crimson red.
Off to rest,
Off to sleep,
And it shall be mine to keep.

Before I fade to black,
I see I can not turn my back.
I open my eyes,
I quickly rise,
And stare.

The desk before me,
The papers scattered,
Some dreams shattered...
I read the papers before me,
The papers with my thoughts,
They stare back at me,
Somewhat teasing,
And somewhat frightening...

I throw the papers back,
I am not those words,
I am myself!
Or am I?
Do I know who I am?

I hear nothing but my breathing,
The T.V. is off,
The familiar hum of the computer,
It lies dormant.
I see I have to fix this,
I know I can not run away...

I am not those words...
I am...Actually...
Who am I?
I know I am human,
I know I make mistakes,
But deep down...
Who am I?

I see the crimson red cover on my bed,
And I know,
I must sleep.
For maybe with time,
Things will turn out fine.

Off to rest,
Off to sleep,
For my sleep,
I know is the one thing,
I can always keep.
