'Twas late last night, so I was too lazy to make an entry. xD
Anyway, yesterday was awesome, 'cause I had dinner with the family. And not just the household, but including about 3 uncles, 3 aunts, 3 cousins I have never met before, and 2 cousins that I usually see when we have family outings. :B
My household was first to arrive, and thus chose a spot to eat, which was near the entrance where everyone could see us. We spent about ten or fifteen minutes deciding which seats we were going to take, since there was about 17 plus people that was going to be present that evening. After doing that, I accidentally knocked over a soy sauce thingy while looking at the menu and used two napkins cleaning it up.
My cousin, Wendy, who is 22 and recently moved from Spokkaine (I think that's how you spell it), Washington to the hustle and bustle of Hollywood, arrived first with my cousin Jessica, age 12, who was one of the new cousins. Conversation was mostly about how she's [Wendy, that is] adjusting to the new city, how she has almost no social life, and the trouble she had with moving into her new apartment.
After that, I believe my other cousin, Michelle, age 19, arrived with my aunt from my dad's side. She recently finished her freshman year at Cornell and was a bit sad that she didn't party as much as she should have. xD We talked about my other cousin, Faye, who is currently married and didn't attend, and how she was afraid of having children, which is kinda ironic because she's going to be a doctor. xD; My other cousin, Jack, is also getting married. We then were saying, "You're next," to the older ones at the table. xB
About that time when Michelle came, we ordered quite late, since the parents had already gotten their food. xD
Anyway, after that, I believe Michelle's cousin, Laura, whom is my "cousin-through-marriage" arrived. She was also a new cousin, and seemed pretty cool. 8] It was kinda sad how her food arrived before mine, since she arrived long after I had. D: We then talked about how after college, your workplace is your social life, and your social life is you workplace. It was a depressing though, we all agreed. xD
The last to arrive was Jessica's older sister, Julia, who was the same age as me, and their parents. I now have an uncle who has a mullet. xD About a half hour after that, we started whipping out cameras and took a flurry of pictures. We had to explain about four times on how we were all related. xD
After dinner, we mingled outside for a bit, where I was complimented on my snappy comments, such as when my little brother proclaimed, "I am the head of the table," as he sat at the end, and I answered, "No, you're the butt." 8] What can I say? --I've had lots of practice with that boy. xD
That's pretty much what happened from the hours of 6:00 PM to 9:30 PM yesterday. Go crazy. :B
