3.Background story

Looking out my bedroom window one day, I spied what appeared to be a nest, perched upon a branch of my tree, with a strange looking egg in it. Leaping out of bed, I ran to the window to get a closer look. Sure, I had lots of pets, and it was Spring, but I couldn't think of a single creature who would have an egg like that.

Out the window I went, and up the tree. The mystery was too much for me.

Upon closer inspection, the egg was definitely not a bird's egg. It had what seemed to be ears poking out of it. Seeing no parents around, I was still mystified. Maybe the parents had gone off to eat. Not wanting to scare them off, I decided to clamber down and do some research.

My idea of research was to ask my pets (yes, most of them can talk) if they knew what creature may hatch out of the egg. I described it in as much detail as I could and finally one of them said it sounded familiar. So I took her to the tree and she flew up to have a closer look.

"Ah, yes, just as I thought," she said to me. "It is the egg of a ....... , a distant relative of the .......... The difference being that they come in a much larger variety of colours and have the ability to speak."

I was fascinated to hear such a thing and wanted to know more.

"What else can you tell me about them?" I asked eagerly.

"Well, don't expect to see the parents now. Once the ears poke out of the shell like that, the parents move on to make a nest somewhere else. The egg doesn't need to be incubated. The warmth from the sun is all it needs. And once it hatches, the babies are quite self efficient. Of course the parents tend to set their nests up near a human home. This is because they know you won't be able to resist feeding it." She laughed to herself, like it was a private joke amongst the pets.

Sure enough, a week later, a cute little ...... hatched out of the egg and made itself quite at home both in the tree and in my well stocked kitchen.

...... is fully grown now and loves hanging out in the tree or with my other pets.

Who knows, maybe you will find an egg like that in your backyard tree. wink

4.Life stages - outlines/shadow images?

Egg - one week
Baby - one week
Adult - to be saved by owner once this stage is reached. Taken down from Growings post after one week.

5.Rules

*Roleplay is not required but feel free to roleplay in the shop thread, we don't mind.

*Wait for the GO! signal before posting please.
*Price is 3k per pet. Please send trade and post pet name once you have been confirmed as the winner in the thread.
*Direct link until your pet is fully grown, then save to your own webspace please.
*One pet per person per sale. This rule is void after 24 hours from the start of the sale.
*Flatsales will be approximately twice per month.

7.Auctions

*Watch this space for dates and previews.
*Starting price will be 2k.
*There may or may not be an autobuy.
*No new bidders in the last hour.
*Auctions will usually go for one week. Time will be stated in each auction.
*Auctions will be "whenever."

*Tickets will be 100g each.
*Limit of 10 tickets per person.
*Raffle will last for one week.
*Raffles will be "whenever".

9.Breeding and Customs

Breeding and customs are not available at the moment. Maybe in the future.
