Chapter 6 In the Field
"Ah! Goddammit, Tom!" Huck shouted, racing after him. Tom ran into the field, gasping and laughing.
"Cain't catch me, Huck!" He risked a backward glance. Huck was gaining fast. Tom ran faster, breathing hard. It was time for strategy. The old fox manuever. He skidded, turned, and doubled back on his path, moving to go past his hunter.
If only Huck hadn't had the brains to tackle him as he passed. Tom fell back into the grass, staring up at Huck. Huck laughed.
"Gotcha!" He bit at Huck's shirt. "Grrrrr! Grrr!"
"Aaaahh! Noo!" Tom laughed. "Finn attack!" He squirmed, trying to get out from under him. His shirt rolled up in his struggles, exposing his belly. Huck nipped at it.
Tom sucked it in--not that there was much to--and squirmed more, beginning to worm his way out from under Huck. Huck blushed and nuzzled it.
"You got a nice belly, Tom." He rested his head and a hand on it. Tom smiled. Huck smiled back. "...But it won't save you from the Huck Finn attack! Grrr!" He bit and tickled at the exposed flesh. Tom arched his back, laughing.
Huck blushed as he realized the position they were in--he was straddling Tom with a hand on either side of him. Tom stared up at him, blushing. "Ah...Tom, I...Heh! Sorry!" He started to get off. Tom grabbed his hand.
"Nah...stay..."
"Wh-wha'? Wha' fer?"
"I dunnow..."
Huck's eyes half-lidded, like when he was thinking on something. He leaned down, looking rather like he was going to do a push-up, and kissed Tom's neck gently. Tom groaned. Huck panted a little against his neck.
"You...like that...huh?" Tom nodded. Huck nodded back. "How 'bout..." He rubbed his hips against Tom's lightly. Tom gasped, digging his fingers into the ground.
"Ahn! Ah, God, Huck!" Huck nodded again, as if he'd confirmed his suspicions.
"Thought so..." He kept going. Tom moaned loudly. Huck silenced him with a kiss, going a little harder. Tom gasped and groaned.
"Ahn...ahn...dammit, Huck..." Tom panted. "Wha'...wha're y'doin' t'me..." Huck drew in and released his breath quickly.
"I...dunnow..." Huck reached down to his waist and pulled down his pants. Tom's face burnt red, eyes widening.
"H-Huck..." Huck reached down, drawing off Tom's pants. Tom stared. Suddenly, the bell in the school steeple clanged.
Huck jerked his head around. Tom slid out from under him, yanked up his pants, and raced off after Sydney toward his home.
Huck stared after him, a silent plea for him to come back in his eyes, on the tip of his tongue. He reached toward Tom's retreating back, then let his hand drop. Damn you, Huck Finn, he thought to himself, sinking dejectedly into the grass. Damn you.
