I read the announcements today and saw that Gaia staff will be at that convention thing. It's only about a thirty minute drive from where I live, and I was actually considering going.
Until, that is, I started really thinking about it.
First off, it costs gas. I pay for my own fuggin' gas and my car burns it like no tomorrow. I hate kids whose parents buy their cars and gas for them. mad
Second, I was thinking about the people who would go there. Japanophiles and Otakus galore. With my luck I'd probably get picked up on by a geeky, four-eyed, pimple faced, 300 pound anime lover. After I proceed to run away from her, she grabs me by the throat, throws me in her mother's car trunk, hides me in her parent's basement, then dresses me up like Gackt. Once this horrific experience is over, she accidently wounds me by laying down on me. I suffocate. Death.
So let's see: expensive gas and fat japanophiles squashing me to oblivion.
I think I'm going to pass on this one.
