XD I'm gonna end up doing this same quiz every year, and it'll be my only journal entry every single year, I swear.
1. What did you do in 2007 that you'd never done before?
Iiiii embraced my dorkiness and no longer became afraid to show it, Cosplayed for the first time, went to my first convention, got my nose pierced, went on a 9hr plane ride.. I did a lot of things that I've never done before.
2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I never make New Years' resolutions. :3
3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
Yeppers. Shay-chan had her beautiful baby girl, Molly.
4. Did anyone close to you die?
No. Thankfully.
5. What countries did you visit?
Japan~ That was ohsowonderful~ <33333
6. What would you like to have in 2008 that you lacked in 2007?
I don't think there's anything, really. Maybe a little motivation.
7. What dates from 2007 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
Not really exact dates, but the Band Tour and Japan Trip were AWESOME. So much fun.
Also, December 9th because it's the day I realized that, no matter how much you may think you know someone, they can still betray you beyond belief.
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Getting over even more shyness, becoming more outgoing, beginning to not care what people think of me... Lots of achievements.
9. What was your biggest failure?
I'd like to say that not being able to prevent some things from happening would be failures, but they were things that I simply couldn't prevent without knowing the future and were not really my fault anyway.
10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
I broke my big toe. :3 It's all bruised now. Other than that, no physical stuff.
11. What was the best thing you bought?
My doll, Fuhen. Not only did it help me get over my extreme fear of dolls, but there's something about being a writer-of-sorts and having your first character physically represented in something that's very... refreshing. It feels like I've achieved something.
12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
No idea.
13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
Sharon.
14. Where did most of your money go?
UMostly useless things like costumes, video games, dolls, and souveniers from my trips. XD But I did buy a lot of food and a bit of clothing for myself.
15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
JAPAN. JapanJapanJapanJapanJapan~
16. What song will always remind you of 2007?
Mmmm.. No idea. Little Voice by Sarah Bareilles a little bit, I suppose.
17. Compared to this time last year, are you:
i. happier or sadder? At the current moment, sadder. Overall, I was no happier and no sadder.
ii. thinner or fatter? I hope thinner. XD We don't own a scale.
iii. richer or poorer? Richer in all ways.
18. What do you wish you'd done more of?
Saving my money? XD Uhm.. I wish I didn't lose contact with a lot of my friends, and I wish I did more stuff that I said I would.
19. What do you wish you'd done less of?
Less procrastination would be nice.
20. How will you be spending Christmas?
With mostly my mom's family here, and then I'll be going to spend a few days in Vancouver with my dad.
22. Did you fall in love in 2007?
Nupe. Fell out of love, sorta, actually.
23. How many one-night stands?
None. I'm still a virgin, and happily so.
24. What was your favorite TV program?
CSI. XD Woot.
25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
I'd love to say I hate Sharon, but really.. I don't. I'm dissappointed in her, feel completely betrayed by her and could never talk to her again, but I don't hate her. I just wish with all my heart that she sees how wrong what she did was, someday.
26. What was the best book you read?
Mm.. Dunno. The Prince is pretty good, but I'm not done it yet.
27. What was your greatest musical discovery?
Too many to count.. But Morning Musume is up there.
28. What did you want and got?
My doll, manga stuff, a new puppy, GOING TO JAPAN. :'D
29. What did you want and not get?
A stable and happily-ever-after family for the rest of my life?
30. What was your favorite film of this year?
No idea. I didn't watch many moves this year.
31. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
I turned 16, and I did nothing. ;D Sweetest sweet-16 evar WHAT? XD No. It was kinda depressing, actually.
32.What is one thing that would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
Losing weight.. Other than that, Cosplaying better/more.
33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2007?
Pretty much the same as 2006, but I flared it up a little more with colors and tried to add some more Japanese-fashion elements to it. And yaay lolita. I'm still trying with that, though (so expensiive).
34. What kept you sane?
I'm not sane. XD
Mmm. Definintely not my new puppy, who drove me further into insanity. XDDD Uhhm.. Chantelle was and still is a big sanity-keeper for me. :3
35. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
JohnnyDeppJohnnyDeppJohnnyDepp. XDDD
36. What political issue stirred you the most?
I still try not to pay too much attention to political issues.. But I did realize how much I hate Canada's legal system. Waay to leniant, if you ask me.
37. Who did you miss?
Everyone who I lost contact with, including Justin.
38. Who was the best new person you met?
I didn't meet a lot of new people this year, actually.
39. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2007:
No matter how much you may think you know a person, they can still shock and betray you.
Don't care about how people perceive you. It's not worth the worry and stress.
