User ImageA dark haired girl lay slumped over the bar, at least ten shot glasses were knocked down around her limp, fried hair. She smelt of alcohol and cigarettes, never an appealing scent when mixed or alone. Her eyes seemed glazed over slightly, like a part of her wasn't there despite the booming music in the background and the many people around her. Even though she was bumped by people going by or accidently poked by a nosey teen she didn't move, the only time she did happen to say a word was when another young lady came up to her. A lady, the age of twenty with dark outlined eyes and a pouty mouth stood right next to this slouched teen, dark eyes gleaming.

Did the girl leaning on the bar know that she was showing up? of course, everyone in the Nightingales knew what Caprice was out doing, just retreiving a simple ring that had belonged to Mr. Nathan, as she called him. "Don't make this tough Haylay." she whispered icily, as if her breath made the room chill the girl shuddered. The shudder, as if she was done moving Haylay stayed where she was. Unluckily for Caprice this was not the Nightingales' night clue, it was some place that spray painted their walls instead of painting them for real. Rolling her dark eyes into the back of her head for a second she finally let her thin arm snap out onto the girl's collar. No reaction, lovely. The five foot three twenty year old huffed loudly before pulling up the sleeves of her black zip-up sweater, green and blue hearts decorating the arms which she was currently fiddling with.

Why was this girl making things so hard? It was just a ring with Nathan's initials on it, gold plated with a small bird on the inside of the band. Simple. Jerking at the collar a bit she seemed to a get a few glances, but shot a dazzling and innocent smile to those who looked her way. Poof, their thoughts were gone. That movement of the jacket seemed to get Haylay's attention, actually she seemed to be a little too startled. The girl slouched over and started coughing, only to happily throw up on Caprice's favorite pair of Vans. "[******** hell!" she exclaimed as she fell back a few steps, practically gagging at the sight of the vomit. Slouching down t othe floor was Haylay once more, eyes still lackluster and dull. Holding up her hand slightly she grin, a broken one that seemed to distant. Yet, on that finger was a ring, a ring that Caprice had been sent for. "You going to hand it over?" Our girl asked, tattooed palm right side up, waiting for the ring to be placed there.

"Of course." Haylay muttered, slipping the ring from her finger and grinning like she had just told the best joke in the whole world. The second after it was placed in her hand Caprice had a knife at the girl's throat, "Where's the real one, love?" she asked mirror Haylay's grin. This being her fourth year in the Nightingales she knew better then people actually handing things over the first time they were given. Another burst of life seemed to jump into the teen she was holding onto for her hand was at her hip and the other was in the air, obvious to where it was. "Pocket, pocket, pocket." she grinned, mouthing out the words before slipping her hands into that pocket that held the item. "Thank you once more doll." she said before pushing her against the bar and walking out the door, both rings on her fingers.

Her high heel shoes made small tapping noises in the alleyway she was walking through, a smile on her face read arrogance as she stared down past the rings to her shoes. As the sound got louder though she couldn't help but get rid of her smile, was someone actually coming after her? No way, everyone at the bar probably want Haylay slapped around a bit anyway. She heard two shots, which made her bloood run cold and her step sizes quicken. She could hear voices yelling, but they were far too familiar to be afraid of. A few yards in front of her she saw an all too noticeable head of hair being chased by three of her fellow Nightingales. "[********]" she muttered as she sped up her steps, hoping to God that they would hold their fire long enough for her to reach them.

Rapidly turning around the corner she yelled, "Hold fire!" Of course the attention was turned away from her beloved and to her, an out of breath twenty year old carrying a pair of high heels and a knife. These kids with the guns had barely been members over six months, she knew considering she had been one of the people on their first mission. "I'll deal with him, you get back to HQ." she said tiredly, brushing her bangs away from her face before watching them leave. Practically running over to Ryan she couldn't help grin once more, it had been quite a while since she had seen her boyfriend and it had been killing her not to. "God, I'm so happy to see you." she said quietly before hugging him close to her. "You know," she started before closing her eyes, "We're going to have to tell Rob about this, actually he probably knows already. I'm going to get in deep s**t for sending away those kids, I guess it's up to me to chit-chat with my old friend." Finishing her sentence she knew that Rob would be mad, possibly pissed off like crazy. Still, she knew he would understand.
