HAYLAY

On the verge of tears the apparently podgy Haylay kept moving through the halls, only to be laughed at, then only to be sympathized by her old friends. "Aw." they cooed, but nothing else was said as she kept on walking, foot steps seemingly louder and louder as she kept on going. "Why is the room getting smaller?" she thought out loud, eyes scanning around the place. "Nope!" said someone below, far below actually. A small boy sat on her foot, who was that? "Jaiden?" she called down, her voice booming down to him which caused him to cover his ears. "Yes you silly girl! I told you not to eat those fries and not to have that extra serving of ice cream after. I told you, I told you. Now look what you've become. You're a skeleton...actually, you're quite the opposite. Frankly, I don't want to even look at you, you gaint whale." Her large figure shook and giant tears fell from her eyes, "But J.J...." she started but never finished because the bell to go to class rung. Ring~ Ring~ Ring~...
Beep. Beep. Beep. What on Earth was that sound? Well it surely was annoying, annoying enough to wake this sleeping teen up. Without opening her eyes she let her feeble arm come out from the covers and her hand smack down upon the ringing clock, annoyed with its presence. Immediatly after doing so her eyes shot open and she shot up, ignoring all the stars she was seeing from the bloodrush to the head. Ripping the covers off of herself she look down at her body, a thin one. "Thank God it was just a dream." she said heavily before laying back down and shutting her eyes, wishing the stars would go away from her vision.
Isn't it amazing how important her figure was to her? Amazing how drastic anorexia can go in just a year or so? Well it's true. It haunted every move she made, she couldn't even get away from it in her sleep. Sure figures are important to everyone, but this was drastic. Finally finding some sort of energy, though it's not really sure where from since she hadn't eaten any carbs in about four months that create this energy, Haylay got up. Was something as little as a scale going to stop her from being healthy? Why yes it was. Especially in high school, for that's where it mattered.
Is it time for some junior memories? Haylay's thoughts seemed to work as a script would, reading themselves to her as she walked and sometimes talked. At the moment she walked though, walked down the hall and into her kitchen, the most dreadful place of them all. Junior year she had been a little, well, not as thin as she was now. So, she had a little extra baggage on her, nothing she thought would really matter. Haylay ate whatever she wanted whenever she wanted, simple as that. More than once she had gotten comments that if she lost a little weight she could possibly try out for the seventeen magazime search which was only a few months away. What was a girl to do? Stop eating? ******** duh.
And that was how it began, the loosing of weight and then the realization that seventeen magazine only took those of legal age to do their photoshoots for insurance reasons. The habits never stopped though and slowly but surely she was feeling more and more drained, like there wouldn't be much left of her soon. Haylay knew that she wouldn't want to stop though, she looked great and so she had a few rough days without a ton of energy, she could pull through it.
Practically sliding off of her bed she maganged to grab onto her phone, pressing the side key which turned it on in order to check for any messages of any kind. The phone buzzed sharply in her hand, making her bones rattle (joking on that one). Quickly scrolling through them as her stomach grumbled Haylay wasn't the least bit surprised that she already had two from J.J. He was quite affectionate lately, something she wasn't really sure was whole hearted. To her he didn't exactly seem like the cuddle every moment we're together type, something about it just seemed off. Quickly reply with:
Morning love. Just got up.
Where are you?
Planning on doing anything today?
I might be free to hang out finally.
LayLay

What a usual good morning text, like always and hopefully forever. Could Haylay see herself with this boy forever? Actually she could. They had made it for a long time now, over two years and counting. She knew she would be heartbroken for a long time without him. Then again, why was she thinking about their relationship so much lately? Sure Haylay thought about where things might eventually go, but nothing like if things might end between them. Basically that would be awful.
