Ode to childhood.......
Its christmas time. Time for joy and cheer.
Gifts to give....
Friends to share the joy
Children can't wait for that magic night,
When raindeer fly.
A night we have all but forgotten.
None of us hear the sleigh bells anymore.
Nor do we see the sugarplum dance.
The magic has gone away.....
To a place we cannot reach
So we must turn away and say goodbye.
But on that special night,
Hang a stocking with extra care
Put a few cookies out, and maybe a carrot or two
And may you to will hear the sleigh bell ring....
At least one more time
