Well, I finally did it. I finally severely injured myself playing softball. I spent my Saturday afternoon in the emergency room. Why? Because I insist on playing catcher for my church league despite my history of injuries. I should have known Saturday's game was going to be bad as soon as the ump got hit in the face with a foul ball, which broke her nose.
But noooooooo. I went in anyway.
And not five minutes after the first ump left for the emergency room, I got clocked in the clavicle by another foul. And oh man did it hurt. Not too badly at first, but after my mom was walking me to the car, it started shooting pain. It hurt for my arm to move, and made my mom drop my arm. We checked my collarbone, since they break easily, found a lump, and rushed me to the emergency room.
Diagnosis? Primary seperation of the AC joint. Meaning it seperated where my clavicle joins with my shoulder.
Let's just say it hurts. xp

Hospitals are terrible places... but I do have a funny story about my broken arm. The doc put it in a sling and he seemed to not quite understand the bone was completely broken, he just yanked my arm out like it was still attached... heh sweatdrop Crazy doctors, I tell ya. It felt like my arm could fly right off, seeing as how it was totally seperated in the x-ray.
