It is with sadness and with pride that I wish to make this important announcement.
The Seven Network Australia has officially aired the last episode of the Stargate SG-1 series, ‘Unending’, this evening, the 22nd November 2007, at 11:06pm.
Stargate now ranks as the longest running science fiction television series in the world –running consecutively for 10 seasons and 11 years, reaching the highest number of episodes at 214. It has been translated to languages all over the world, entertaining minds and touching lives. Characters, whose footprints will forever be imprinted in our hearts.
We will always remember the witty lines, exciting adventures and personal stories as a metaphor for our own lives. We thank the writers, actors, crew and last of all the creators, who dared to dream of the worlds beyond the Stargate.
Stargate SG-1 has enriched our lives with greater understanding, a desire to overcome differences, a belief in that which is good overcoming evil and of the fighting human spirit. The SG-1 team, past and present, shall always hold a special place in our heart.
To those who have given a portion of their lives in fulfilling this dream, and taken us on their amazing journey these past 11 years, we say to you….
