Wow... I've been here at work for a whole week now. Work is kinda weird... I don't do much independently cause I suck... very much so. I'm more of a hinderance than any help, but hey, that's how it's supposed to be... I'm a friggin high school student with no experience, and they're all like phds and s**t. A couple more interns are starting next week... though I think they're college students. Well, it's all lab work so far. Growing bacteria, cutting s**t with enzymes and other s**t I don't understand at all gonk . But then again... I haven't been doing very much of it cause there's been like 2 hour breaks between each step... so yea. I think the day before yesterday I only worked for an hour, but I really could care less. If the rest of the time is gonna be like this, this is gonna be an easy $10s an hour. I even finished Jane Eyre in the spare time I had at work and now I'm starting hardball.
Hahah, oh yea... I wear labcoats and gloves! yea... I just find that amusing. Oh! I went to look at the lab mice today! So many mice! They're so tiny... poor little abused creatures. The person I was with was picking out which mice should be euthanized eek cause they were dying or not mating enough, but one box with supposedly all females had babies... creepy. Little babies are creepy. I think the experiment I'm doing (something to do with combining an enzyme with a flourescent protein) is either gonna be used on mice or monkeys. I can't remember. I haven't seen any monkeys yet though.
Life at my cousin's has actually been kinda nice. Maybe cause I dislike my parents so much. Plus I get a big bed biggrin . The furniture's been easy to adapt to cause so much of it is identical to some of the old stuff we have at home. Probably cause we bought that stuff together back when we lived here at the east. I do kinda feel like I'm imposing because they refuse to accept any money for my stay, yet my uncle is currently unemployed. oh well... haha, but my cousin is actually still pursuing her singing career part-time. I think she's leaving in a week to open for some hip hop artist who's going to tour in Japan... or something like that. I'm heading to D.C. with them tommorrow.
