Attack of the 50ft Sega Genesis.
Darn it! A great lolcat moment, and I don't have batteries in my camera! I've had my door closed for a few hours, and during that time, I pulled out my Sega to see if I left that coaxial cable on it. I wanted to put it on my tv and watch House in my bedroom. The cable wasn't there, I missed house, but I left the Sega with all its controllers and cables on the rug where I normally keep the cat food and water bowls. I had moved the bowls and litter box out so I could shut the door. A few minutes ago, I opened the door to get a drink and a snack. I came back to find three of the cats slowly approaching the Sega as if it might spring to life and attack at any moment. It was among the cutest things ever. I grabbed my camera, turned it on, and remembered that Sam knocked the batteries out of it a few weeks ago. I never replaced them. Two AA batteries and my sunglasses that clip onto my regular glasses are collecting dust somewhere just out of my sight and reach. I quietly jogged into the kitchen for batteries, but they're all out. Darn Mom and her refusal to buy one of those controller recharging things for the Wii. By the time I had searched all the drawers, two of the cats had lost interest in the Sega and come to the kitchen to watch me instead. The other cat was still in my bedroom, sitting on my chair. I've been living with six cats for nearly a year now. You'd think I would have learned to carry a camera ready to snap pictures at all times. In other news, Loki still has not learned that my record collection is not a scratching post, yet he's the only cat who's really taken to the Scratch Pod. Is the Scratch Pod being called an iScratch now? I bought a Scratch Pod from Target a couple of weeks ago. Last weekend, I saw a very similar, if not identical, product at Petsmart called an iScratch. The packaging looked slightly different, but I suspect it's the same product with a new name. Or an old name. I just wonder in case I happen to be at Petsmart by the time I need to buy a new insert for the Scratch Pod. I think the other cats aren't into it because it's got the cardboardy insert. They prefer couch arms. When this insert is scratched enough, I'm getting one of the other two. Probably carpet. It's more like couch.
