Not The Same As Before
I am no longer the same as I was born,
The only resemblence is in my form.
Some suffering in this life I have withstood,
Much has my soul been twisted and warped.
I am darkness, a vassal of the beast,
My spirit a meal upon which it feasts.
I am the light, caring, just, and kind.
I am the shadow, good and evil intertwined.
I am made of ice, cold, hard unfeeling,
Formed by experience, twisted pain
I am made of flesh which remembers every beating,
From which any strength is destined to fade.
I am a creature who has become insane,
A being made the incarnate of pain.
I am the blur between virtue and sin,
Becoming in time the two split along a fine grain.
Transformed from the form in which I came.
On the surface we may look similar
Seeing the inside it is apparent
That we are not the same.
I am not worthy
My soul is not destined to soar
The pain envelopes my mind
Heart beats slower , reaching for more
I reside in darkness
Seeking the forbidden light
Tears wrench my soul
Screaming into the night
A heart sent to hide
The door locked , no key to find
Heart mending is a waste of time
Locking the door ,against darkness one more time
Pain Is The Name Of The Game !
