Storm was let out of the infirmry two days later and was instructed to take a few days off, a week at the least. Knowing she couldn't ignore Beasts requests she reluctantly took the week off. She now stood inside her green house watering her plants. Adrian was clinging to the dress she was wearing and reached out and let the rain drops fall on her hands. Beast had managed to restore her eyesight so adrian now had bandages around her eyes, Storm had a nice talk with Adrian's teacher and told him he she would resume teaching her daughter. She payed the teacher and was glad when he left. Her mind was brought back to reality when she felt her daughter tugging on her dress.
"What's the matter little one?" She asked.
Adrian made a small noise and went to her mother's front and clung to th front of her dress. Storm stopped watering her plants and looked at her door as Cyclops walked in.
"to what do i owe this visit Cyclops?" She asked bending down to adrian's level and quieting her. She brought the child into her arms and stood up holding her.
"You know you should be resting, its not good for you to be in here." He looked to her through his red tinted glasses and watched her summon a small raincloud.
"Cyclops you know i must tend to my plants." Adrian smiled as the rain from the cloud fell on her hand and with the other hand she signed the word water to her mother.
"Rain sweetie." She spelled the word rain in her daughter's palm, which made adrian smile more.
"Still Storm you need to be resting we're worried about you." He said and sat down on a bench.
"By we're do you mean all of the x-men with the exception of yourself?" She was becoming slightly annoyed hearing the same things over and over again. Cyclops was one of the main ones that annoyed her so. It seemed these days he was becoming less caring of the ones around him with the exception of his beloved Jean, and it pretty much pissed her off to no end.
"No i'm worried as well, Ro you gave us quite a scare two days ago, you've been so distant from us as of late." He wanted to help her, but knowing Storm she'd rather sort things out herself.
"It is my right to be distant if I want, I've been though this once before with this little one." She said reffering to adrian. "And i don't need anyone's help getting through this pregnancy, i've been fine on my own so far. Now if you will excuse me i have work to finish." With that said she turned her back to him and went back to watering her plants.
Scott left her greenhose without a second thought and walked back up the path to the mansion. Walking inside he looked over at Logan who had his arms crossed over his chest.
"How'd it go?" He asked.
"She wants to be left alone." Cyclops replied
"Told ya, once the woman has her mind made up there ain't no way to change it." He placed his hands in his pockets and walked towards the kitchen.
Cyclops sighed and headed upstairs and went to go change into his uniform to get ready for the days training.
Storm walked back into the mansion about an hour later with a sleeping Adrian in her arms. The rain must have lulled her to sleep, that along with Storm's gentle singing. She sat down on the sofa and rocke her daughter while she sang.

She looked up seeing Xavier watching her from his hover-chair and turned her attention back to her daughter. She lightly rubbed the child's back and smiled.
"Care for a game of chess Storm?" He asked.
Storm looked up at him seeing the cess board, she nodded slightly and watched as the professor set up the board. The game was soothing and took Storm's mind off the incident concerning her rape for a while. For once she seemed entirely relaxed and seemed to be coming out of her depressed state. Fifteen minutes later after the game had started Storm called checkmate and the two sat in silence for a while after the game and then sunk into slow conversation.
"Where is everyone?" She asked noticing it had been quite quiet.
"In the danger room." Xavier replied
"Remen's not well enough to be in the danger room yet." She said softly.
"He's resting in his room, he's been telling me that he hasn't been sleeping well. You alright Storm?" He asked noticing how quiet she was.
"Yes i'm fine, just a little exhausted. remen's just having nitemares of his past is all, they keep him awake at times." She felt a slight flutter in her belly and smiled and rubbed it. "Shhhh." She chided and shifted adiran a bit.
"I see. Let me get you something." He offered.
Storm shook her head and smiled at him. "I'm alright. I think i'll lay down for a while, you don't mind do you? I hate to cut our conversation short."
Xavier made a small hand gesture saying that it was alright. He lightly patted her belly and kissed her forehead and moved away from her and let her lay down on the couch and sleep.
