I was in a progressive bookstore the other day, I spotted a copy of Thorstein Veblen's Theory of the Leisure Class. I was going to buy it (it's a classic in the field, after all) but I saw that it cost like, $70. And I don't have that kind of money to flash around. Anyway, I probably wouldn't read it and I would just put it on my bookshelf to impress people.
