	chessiejo's Journal i need a place to not worry about being nice and polite and just express the inner self now and then. i feel like there is nobody who really understands me because i don't fit neatly into any group. i'm a christian but also a seeker. i like sports

our extremely stupid mutt got her muzzle too close to a porcupine last night. so even though she's mom's dog, i tried to help by pulling out some quills. guess what i got for my efforts? a nsty bite! the beastly thing turned on me and gashed my left hand. now my hand and thumb are purple and scarred. chessiejo · Wed Jun 15, 2005 @ 05:49pm · 2 Comments

	Owy!! eek Yeah, when a dog is in pain, it will attack anything that tries to come near it. Since it let you come close enough to pull the quill, he trusts you quite a bit, but getting so close to the wound would have naturally set the dog off. He didn't do it to be mean, he did to protect himself because, as you said, dogs are stupid. I hope that your hand heals soon.
