I was watching a history channel show on machine guns. They were talking about the Gau-8, the 7-barrel, 2-ton 30mm cannon loaded onto the A-10 attack jet. It carries a 9-foot long, 5 foot wide drum of d!ldo-sized rounds of ammunition.
I was particularly struck by the following line: "If necessary, the Gau-8 can fire all 10,000 rounds in seventeen seconds." In that context, what the hell does a phrase like "If necessary" even mean? I'm no Sun Tzu, but if you're in a situation where throwing say, 5-6 thousand armor-piercing depleted-uranium phallic symbols at a problem won't make it go away, give the ******** up. The other guy just wants it more.
