I saw the post you made on the thread about "what kind of retard" or whatever, dissing the giant flower....kudos. I wish people would not be so harsh about this, and by looking at your item, gosh, I wish ya woulda made the finals. I might've voted for you over my eyepiece. sweatdrop People are being pretty insensitive to the feeling of the 12 people who reacted to the picks like "OMG, I actually made it!?" only to get dashed by "all the entries = PHAIL" posts. Given, I mean, I can handle it, I'm pretty secure here and I'm not exactly a young gaian, so I've got a little thicker skin...but if I were my niece (who's just 13) and I woulda seen half the things I've seen said about something I was soooo happy to have gotten some recognition...well, I'd probably have a bit of a breakdown on my hands.
Honestly, the bad vibes in the thread are expected. Many folks are mad their idea didn't win. I mighta felt the same, but I never woulda ripped on something someone else was probably so happy about just to make myself feel better.
I just wanted to say thank you for standing up. I doubt many folks will step up and say "I made that" and defend themselves for fear of backlash, so I bet they appreciate your kindness as well.

Yeah, my thoughts are running kind of along that train--I think that everyone should just be happy for the winners and be the bigger person for once...But, on the other hand, the Gaian community has always been this way--comes around once a month with the monthly collectibles.

Yeah, gaia likes to bicker and complain...it's how this place works. Sometimes, it's reasonable, but other times, it's just in bad taste.
This may seem odd, but the main reason I want to win right now is that I wanna put this on my resume...that something I drew got converted into an item that thousands of people will see. I went to school for computer animation and Fine art, and I've been hoping to get into concept work, but it's a hard nut to crack. If I don't win..well, being a finalist is still pretty sweet.

I really like your idea, and when I saw it I didn't instantly think "ZOMG DBZ!!!!oneone!1!1!" like many idiots out there. I thought "futuristic fantasy RP gear", which is pretty damn sweet heart

What I don't understand is why people keep freaking out about your entry neutral As you've probably heard before many times over, people are biased and assume that it's from DBZ. To me, that says they've been watching a bit too much television xd
I bet if I went to Google right now I could find a bunch of pictures that have futuristic eyepieces like that that AREN'T from DBZ (Fox from the Star Fox series has one, although the lens is oval shaped).
YEah, it ain't the most original of ideas, but it ain't stolen either. Lots of things have the eyepiece, and the shapes, colors, etc....they change in each setting...this one's my variant. I like it. I'm glad you're so open-minded and not glued to cartoon network so tightly to think it's all that exists in life. LOL
xd Cartoon Network is the channel I watch most frequently, but I don't watch half the crappy shows they play, INCLUDING DBZ. How can you even follow the plotline?! D:

I like your eyepiece. I can't believe all that DBZ crap you've had to take. There were futuristic eye piece before DBZ for crying out loud.
Yeah, I debated about it for a while wanting to stay hidden or not. But being called a "copy cat" and "thief" was the last straw.
I did the Wind Up key and by pure coincidence someone else had the same idea before me and had made a petition about it, which I had never ever seen.
I don't got to the petition forums, it just never occurred to me to check.
And it's not my fault that the judges chose mine over hers :/
There are tons of people on here, it's not impossible for someone else to have the same idea. Especially a doll key, it's not uncommon for people to see wind up key dolls.
I publicly made a statement about the situation because it really got out of hand and people were getting the wrong idea and getting pissed for something I didn't do. (Cheating, stealing, etc.)
But it really bothers me since now it's already spreading that I supposedly cheated.
I just don't want this to jeopardize my entry if people are complaining. And since there is no real way for me to defend myself, I get frustrated because I'm innocent.
I understand why people would hide, the hot water of the situation can really make one feel bad which isn't right. I want to try and stay positive and be proud of my entry.
People are just angry and will never be satisfied with what they have and lash out at those whose simply entered like every body else!

People are just sore cause they didn't win, and most are too selfish to be happy for someone else. I saw people complaining about yours...I know I didn't really read through the idea threads before I drew what I wanted. It's just coincedence. So many people broke the rules with their entries. All these "should have one" threads have so many multi-pose items and such or look more MC, less shop. I considered puppet strings myself when I was thinking, but it would be hard to picture it.
By all means, if you need to blow off steam, go ahead and pm me, I'll be your sounding board if you'd like.

I agree that a lot of the items were cool, but simply not STORE material. Too manys poses, or way to complicated. I was trying to find something, unisex, simple, and usable for everyone.
It really sucks how much people are trying to get back at the finalists and complain to no end.
Another thing people seem to think about the key that it has something do with Gwen Stefani and some music video of hers that I've never watched? =/
I Pm'd the girl that in a way, called me out and am waiting for her response. Hopefully she'll understand and change her threads and stop planting more hate seeds about the item. I don't care if she's a sore loser, but it's not fair of her or anyone else to be mad at me for the wrong reason.
