October 31, 2007
Rachel came over. I worked on the Gaia event and we sat around eating Halloween candy. She brought over some for me from her house. When my mom came home we carved the pumpkin. Rachel drew on the face after I decided what face I wanted on it. I put some of the stringy stuff on Smoky and it confused him. Rachel had to leave for class. I finished cutting out the face and my mom got a candle to put in it. Jenna IMed me wanting me to go trick or treating with her but I really feel like I'm too old now. I know some people keep going as adults but I don't really want to get yelled at by old people that I'm too old. And I have that stupid class. I went to class, and she said it would be short in case we had plans like parties or whatever. Yeah right, I would have had to skip class if I'd had a party to go to. Luckily the party was on Sunday. Anyway, I think someone ruined it by saying they just wanted to get home and go to bed. No one in there had anything to do on Halloween, they're all way older than me and not the typical college students that go to parties and stuff. I feel totally out of place in that class because let's face it. I'm immature, I still like things like Halloween and dressing up and going to parties. I'm a lot younger than them, at least from what I can tell. They're all way more serious about this class and have more experience in this field. I honestly find it boring. Anyway, she didn't let us out early. Not any earlier than usual. She kept us there for more than an hour, just talking about stuff. x.x Probably because it was obvious these people don't even bother with Halloween. I'm just glad I didn't have plans because that would have sucked big time. I still was hoping to at least hang out with Jenna or maybe dress up to hand out candy or something, but I got out so freaking late. Anyway, when I got home, I decided to go over to Jenna's and see what she was doing. But when I got there she was in the shower. So much for her wanting to trick or treat. I was willing by then to take her around the block to a few houses or something. I was pretty bored. Well I sat there waiting for her and it was forever before she got out, and when she did, her mom would't let her go. She said she was too old. Now I don't think Jenna is too old. She's still in high school. When I was her age I didn't think anything about being too old for trick or treating. I did it for several more years. It was only after I was an adult and out of school that I've felt too old for it. So I feel bad she didn't get to go, but at least she got to have a party. We went to my house for a few minutes so I could show her my pumpkin, but then she had to go home. I made a chat and talked with people the rest of the night. Here's my pumpkin, and my house all decorated.
